Specialty Classes run for a set amount of time and are open to everyone, not just gym members or patients, to join for the cost of the class.  These classes are not included in the gym plus membership package or all facility membership package.

Free Tai Chi Classes on the Hart Commons

Thanks to a gracious grant from Senior Resources, we are offering free Tai Chi classes taught every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30am on the Hart Commons. Please feel free to stop by and try it out. Tai Chi improves flexibility, balance, strength and mental peace using a form of meditation exercise, methodically slow movements and controlled breathing.

Every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30am from July 6th until August 29th

Sip’ N Yoga on the Green

Come and relax with yoga and a drink viewing the beautiful scenery of the Golden Sands Golf Course. This summer class is offered by a Certified Yoga Instructor Rebecca Urick. Cost: $10.00 per person for the class, doesn’t include drink. Drink specials available.

Every Friday at 10:30am from June 30th through the end of summer

Matter of Balance Class

Great class for seniors and caretakers. Thanks to our sponsors, this class is free but you must register. Participants receive a free workbook and certificate of completion after completing the course.

Do you have concerns about falling?
Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.
This program emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls.
You will learn to:
• View falls as controllable
• Set goals for increasing activity
• Make changes to reduce fall risks at home
• Exercise to increase strength and balance
Who should attend?
• Anyone concerned about falls
• Anyone interested in improving balance and flexibility and strength
